Ashburnham Community School is an Outstanding primary school located in Chelsea, London. Ashburnham is a happy, friendly school where children achieve academic excellence. I am immensely proud to be the Head of School, leading an enthusiastic and committed team of teachers and support staff. I work alongside Paul Cotter who is the Executive Headteacher, working across Ashburnham Community School, Fox Primary School, an outstanding primary school in Notting Hill, and Avonmore Primary in Olympia.
Ashburnham is a one form entry community school, with up to thirty children in each year group; we also have an onsite Nursery school. In total there are 220 children aged between three and 11 years old at the school.
We offer a spacious, open learning environment which both encourages and supports children’s development. The school is based on one level which means that a close, friendly atmosphere is fostered among staff and children. We are also lucky enough to have the largest playground in the borough (recently renovated) so there is plenty of space for children to play.
This Outstanding school embodies strong values which underpin all we do: respect, honesty perseverance, kindness, collaboration and creativity. We have high expectations of all our children, both academically and socially. This is achieved by the engaging, exciting curriculum which is complimented by a rich program of trips and workshops. We are passionate about ensuring that all children who leave Ashburnham are well-rounded and polite children who are achieving excellent results and fully prepared to succeed in their next stage of education.
I greatly value the partnership I have with parents and carers and I believe that working together is the best way to ensure children develop a lifelong love of learning so they can flourish.
I hold school tours throughout the year and encourage you to come along and have a look for yourself.
Welcome
